AI employees for small business

From chatting with AI to getting work done with AI.

We build and run AI staff for trades, clinics and small teams — every call answered, every quote followed up, every invoice chased — for a fraction of the cost of hiring.

Pays for itself in ~2 jobs a month Live in 2 weeks Month to month

Tuesday, 6:42am

Missed call from a new lead while you were on the tools.

Answered, qualified, booked in for Thursday 9am. Quote drafted and sitting in your approvals.

Two overdue invoices chased. One paid.

One booked job and $1,480 collected, before your first coffee.

What they do

Stop your business losing money

Front desk

Every call and message answered in your voice, qualified and booked — instead of the caller ringing the next name on the list.

Quotes & invoices

Quotes out the same day they’re asked for, and invoices chased until they’re paid — weeks off your cash cycle.

Scheduling

Empty slots filled and reminders sent, so no-shows stop costing you a half-day at a time.

Inbox & admin

The inbox sorted and paperwork filed — a couple of hours a day back, without adding to the wage bill.

Dormant customers

Old quotes reopened and past customers brought back — revenue you’ve already paid to win once.

Customer Reviews

Requesting for feedback and review from satisfied customers

The software behind it

We pick and run the tools — CRM, job management, accounting — and usually cut the subscriptions you’re doubling up on.

How it works

Set up, trained, supervised

You get a working team member, you train them with your business knowledge, teach them your ways of working and define their responsibilities. You then let them operate under your supervision.

See it in action for your trade

  1. We sit in for a week

A short shadow of how the business actually runs — calls, quotes, the shortcuts in your head.

  2. We build the AI Employee

Trained on your pricing, your tone and your rules, wired into the tools you already pay for.

  3. Two weeks on probation

Everything it sends passes your desk first, until you’re happy to let it run on its own.

  4. We stay on the payroll

Monthly review, tuning, and new jobs handed over as you trust it with more.

Why this exists

My last business died of admin.

I've always been passionate about small businesses. They're the backbone of everything, built by people who are genuinely great at their craft. But watching good operators struggle — not for lack of skill, but because there's too much to do and only one of them — is something I've been through myself.

Before Onefold, I built an energy efficiency company. We used data to show businesses where they were bleeding money — buildings, HVAC, machinery — and how to fix it. The product worked, and clients saved real money.

It failed anyway. Not because the service was wrong, but because I was a team of one. Finding leads, writing quotes, keeping up with compliance rules that shifted every few months, running the business. Something had to give, and it was always the follow-up. Deals I'd practically won went cold because I couldn't get back to someone for four days.

Twenty years in technology, across top-tier companies and consulting firms, doesn't make you immune to the trap every small business falls into: there are never enough hours. The enquiry that came in at 7pm, the quote nobody chased, the invoice sent a fortnight late — small teams lose money quietly, while they're flat out doing the work in front of them.

A team is what I needed back then and couldn't afford to hire. The first agents I built were for my own business — not a gimmick or a demo, but working team members. One of them is in the chat on this page; go and talk to it. It's the only reason one person can do this properly.

That's the whole mission. Most businesses are still using AI like a search engine, somewhere to ask questions. I want you using it to do the work. We keep it simple, leave out the jargon, and hand back a team that runs in the background — cutting costs, catching the leads you'd otherwise miss, and giving you back the hours to do what you're actually good at.

Fair questions

We don’t pretend otherwise. The AI Employee introduces itself as your assistant — most people just care that someone picked up.

Nothing goes out unchecked in the first fortnight, and money-related actions stay behind your approval for as long as you want them there.

Only if what you’ve got is holding you back. We work with Xero, ServiceM8, Cliniko, HubSpot and most of the usual suspects.

Two weeks from the first call for a single role. Bigger setups, three to four.

No. Month to month after setup — give us 30 days and we’ll hand over the documentation.

Find out what it’s costing you

Twenty minutes, no pitch deck. We’ll put a dollar figure on your missed calls and unchased invoices — then tell you honestly whether an AI Employee is worth it.
